EJ Chalvet de Recy
Pyschotherapist MBACP
At the heart of my work is a lifelong interest in people and how we make sense of our lives. My approach is grounded in careful clinical thinking and shaped by empathy, warmth and genuine curiosity. I strive to create a trusting space where you can speak openly, explore what matters most to you and feel truly understood.
About Me
Many of my clients are navigating the full spectrum of grief and loss which can touch every part of life. Whether you’re facing the death of someone you love, the end of a relationship, a career transition or the loss of who you thought you’d be. These experiences can leave you feeling lost, anxious or overwhelmed.

My own life experiences have given me an understanding that loss in all its varied forms can change everything. I have first-hand knowledge of the benefits that a counselling relationship and talking therapy can bring, and understand that choosing to engage in therapy, or to re-engage with a new therapist can be challenging. However, the positive benefits of therapy can outweigh these challenges.

I consult privately in my Therapy Room in South West London, and at The Royal Trinity Hospice in London, where I support people facing some of life’s most difficult moments, and am proud to incorporate a deep and compassionate approach to my work.
Loss touches every part of our lives and you shouldn’t have to navigate it alone.
My Approach
As an Integrative Psychotherapist I draw on both Psychodynamic and Person-Centred theories to understand how present-day feelings and actions can be influenced by past experiences or learned behaviours; encouraging self-awareness to help you identify and overcome emotional challenges.

Our work together, will give you the chance to have someone listen to you, perhaps for the first time, to provide you with the space to identify changes that can positively impact you moving forwards.

Therapy offers a safe space to speak without judgement, and to find meaning when everything feels uncertain.
Grief doesn’t follow a timeline or a rulebook, it’s as unique as you are.
Services
In Person or Online Therapy Session
£100/50 minutes
I offer face to face sessions at my private practice in South West London.
If you would prefer to hold our sessions online, I am happy to meet over a secured Google Meet link.
I offer new clients an initial 30-minute consultation to discuss what your goals for therapy are, why you are making contact and how we might work together.
There is no set length of time that therapy should take, this will depend on your level of need and the goals you wish to achieve.

I offer a flexible treatment plan and ensure that I monitor my client progress regularly, however, your therapy is always tailored specifically for you.
Loss changes us. Therapy helps us find our footing again.
